Dear Parents,

 

            We are looking forward to restarting our program in the fall.  Pray that our construction is done quickly!  The additional rooms will provide us with much needed space giving us greater flexibility in how we utilize this area.  As you know, construction has caused many complications with our program.  As a result, many creative things have happened thanks to the efforts of our teachers and parents. We look forward to incorporating some of these efforts into our program for the upcoming year!  Note:  One of these is a bulletin board on our parish website that allows questions and concerns to be posted and responded to.  Please check it out!

 

            Please take time now (before June 25) to register for the fall classes. Because of the volume of students, your early registration is very important.  It will help us to address class size, day preference, teacher recruitment, and discounts for textbooks, etc.  Every year during August and September we receive registrations that require attendance on a special day.  This creates for you and our office staff unneeded stress and prevents us from being prepared for the start of class. 

 

 

PLEASE NOTE

With the exception of new families to our parish, late registrations for returning CCD families received after August 20^th will be placed on a waiting list and processed at a later date.  It is possible that late students may have to wait a several weeks to be placed in a class.  Our office will contact you with a starting date. 

 

            Registrations are now being accepted for the September 2003-2004 Religious Education Program for Grades K ￢ﾀﾓ 6

 

CLASS SCHEDULES ￢ﾀﾓ Semi-monthly Model

Grade K ￢ﾀﾓ 6 ONLY

 

Kindergarten:  (optional)  Classes meet on Sunday mornings ONLY

 

Grades 1- 6         Two options are available according to space and teachers.

                          An immediate response to the registration helps secure a place

                          for your child on the day you request.  It is easier for us change

                          a CCD day in the fall, rather than to add a new spot.                       

Team teachers or a Teacher and an Aide are being sought for each classroom.

 

Classroom Component : Options          Sunday:  8:45 ￢ﾀﾓ 10:15 AM

                                                             Monday:  4:00 ￢ﾀﾓ 5:15 PM **

 

**(Please note beginning time of Monday Class.  If dismissal from school and timely arrival at CCD is going to be a problem, then please sign up for Sunday classes.  Thank you.)

 

Family Component ￢ﾀﾓ

                    In addition to our semi-monthly program, parents will receive weekly

                    Liturgy of the Word Materials to review with their family.

 

Grades  7￢ﾀﾓ9 T.L.C.   Mini courses meet for nine weeks in the fall and again in the Spring.  More information on content and sessions is available on-line or at the Religious Education Office. (973)543-5950 x14

 

Confirmation    Teens in Grade 10 or above in public, private and Catholic Schools can participate. For information, call our Youth Ministry Office.(973)543-5950 x12

 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

 

Forms              Use the BLUE FORM to update our information.  This is for re-registration  purposes and is very important.

 

                        YELLOW FORM is to be used for any new student to our program.  If you need more forms, please call Judy at the Parish House.

 

Tuition            Tuition for Elementary (K-6), T.L.C. program (7-9) and Confirmation are collected SEPARATELY.  Since this present letter is concerned with Grade K-6, the tuition

                        to be sent in will be for K-6 ONLY.

 

Volunteers      We are always in need of volunteers.  Our program works by a 

                         volunteer  system.  Our program depends on your generosity of 

                         time and talent.  We are intending to provide two teachers (or  

                         aides) in each classroom.

                                                   Join the team!

 

           Our tuition covers both the cost of textbooks as well as the family materials that are being used at home.  However, NO ONE will be excluded because of an inability to pay.  If there is a financial problem, just let me know.  It is important to have your family involved!

 

 

If you are thinking of teaching, please call now rather than waiting for the fall.

ￂﾷ         After June 30^th there is a $15.00 late fee.
